Meet Siri

Siri leads Fabric+, the place development and co-design department at AT Arkitektur. She has a Master's in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor's in societal security from the University of Tromsø, along with extensive experience in the field both in Norway and abroad.

Siri's expertise, Local Economic Development, involves understanding how to best develop local communities, cities, and regions. Siri has particularly worked extensively on how places can:

  • Enhance economic development and activity

  • Improve quality of life and attractiveness for residents, businesses, and visitors

  • Facilitate more innovation and research

  • Reduce inequality and create more inclusive societies

She has several years of experience working as a project manager and consultant on interdisciplinary urban development at the global architecture and engineering firm Arup in London. Siri has previously worked with research communication and collaboration at both Nord University and UiT.

Siri established Fabric+ in 2022, wishing to contribute to ensuring that local communities, municipalities, cities, and regions have access to the best tools for developing in a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable way. She has been heavily involved in developing a strategic development plan for the spaceport in Andøy and has led the work for the development of the future convenience store – also in Nordmela. She has also led the Ny i Nordland project, which used service design to find and test solutions for how work and family immigrants can receive a better welcome in Nordland.
